| Telelaboratory service in Haematology |

Objectives
The objectives of this service are: - optimising the use of human resources; - decreasing the delay between the performance of anticoagulation tests and the availability of the results to the Primary Care physician. Results are immediately available thanks to the use of the tele-laboratory test. The test is physically performed in the GP consultation room. - shortening time to treatment tuning. The immediate availability of results allows the GP to adapt the treatment according to the current values of the indicators; - making available to all physicians in the Health Sector who have a need to know the results of the anticoagulation tests via the patient's Shared Electronic Clinical Records |

Description
A description of the current workflow of this exam has been provided in the proposal for this Project previously submitted to the Commission. Primary Care Centres have been provided with auto-analysers capable of assessing INR (International Normalized Ratio) levels in order to monitor and adjust anticoagulant prescriptions. The re-engineered workflow is shown below.
