The synchronous link will allow the PoC to contact the CoE experts while interviewing, treating or diagnosing the patient. This requires an interactive video link between the two sites, as well as a portable digital camera to shoot moving pictures and still images.
One scenario is that the physicians at the PoC as well as at the CoE both are present to look at the same live streaming video at the same time. The doctors can take part of the images being filmed at the PoC synchronously.
The other scenario is that the film is captured and stored to be reviewed by the physician at the CoE at a later time. This review can be held online in a way that both physicians look at the film simultaneously and discuss the treatment.
